A small studio building calm learning tools
Samio Learning is a small educational-technology studio in the Netherlands. We build the Samio Learning adaptive app for children ages 4–12, Samio for Schools for teachers and primary schools, and Askimo, a free Wikipedia-for-kids app. This page is the short, official answer to "who is Samio Learning?".
Mission
Learning that adapts to the child, not the other way round
Children learn at different speeds in different subjects, and most learning software still hands every child the same exercises in a different order. We build tools that read what a child already knows and adjust reading, math, writing, time-telling, science and physics per skill, per child, in real time, in short, ad-free sessions.
For teachers the same idea applies to planning: Samio for Schools builds plans, lessons and materials from the official curriculum of the teacher's own country instead of guessing, shows gaps by class before they become statistics, and reaches teachers inside the AI assistants they already use. We keep the company small on purpose, so that every decision about pricing, privacy and what we will not build stays ours to explain.

Five principles we can be held to

No ads, no trackers
No ads and no in-app purchases in the kids' apps, no trackers on our sites, no personal data collected from children. COPPA and GDPR by design.
- 02
AI that never sees a child's name
Samio for Schools generates lesson plans from a curated database of national curriculum standards, so it cannot invent standards or citations, and its AI features, including the assistant connector, never see a student's name, score or result.

Equity pricing
Same product, fair prices: Samio for Schools is priced by World Bank country income tier, locked at registration, so cost does not decide which children get good tools.
- 04
Open standards
LTI 1.3 for the LMS, Edu-V for the Dutch education chain and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for AI assistants: we plug into what schools already run instead of locking them in.

Seven languages
The site, Samio for Schools and Askimo speak English, Spanish, Dutch, German, French, Italian and Portuguese; the kids' app teaches in ten content languages.

Samio Learning is operated by Geekcow Creative Studio, registered in the Netherlands with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 73006637 and based in Amsterdam. Our apps are published on the Apple App Store and Google Play under the same studio, and our marketing site and Schools dashboard are available in English, Spanish, Dutch, German, French, Italian and Portuguese.
