Plan, create and check coverage in your own classes

Connect your Samio for Schools account with OAuth 2.1, the same login as the dashboard, and the assistant can act inside your workspace.

Classes

List your classes: names and student counts only, never an individual pupil.

Topic plans and lessons

Create a topic plan for a class, as an outline or as the full auto run that produces the plan and then the lessons, materials and challenges for every week. Read a plan back and open any week's lesson.

Curriculum-grounded

A question like "what does the Spanish curriculum expect in reading for an eight-year-old?" is answered from the official standards, source named, not from the model's memory of the internet.

Zero student data

No student name, score or result ever crosses the connector. The teacher tools see you and the class as a whole; the audit trail stores hashed inputs only; Samio's sub-processor list is unchanged.

Works where teachers already work

Many teachers already plan in Claude or ChatGPT. Samio meets them there instead of asking them to learn another tool, and the result still lands in the dashboard.

Revocable in one click

Connecting uses OAuth 2.1. Your password never goes through the assistant; it receives a key you can revoke at any time in the dashboard under Settings → Connected apps.

An open standard, not one vendor

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard. Any assistant that speaks it can use Samio, today Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini CLI and Claude Code, so you are not locked to one company's roadmap.

On claude.ai open Customize → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

Leave "Sign in when needed" and "Use Claude's published identity" selected, then add the connector.

The curriculum tools work immediately. For the teacher tools run /mcp and choose authenticate; the Samio sign-in opens in your browser.

Restart Gemini CLI. The first teacher tool opens the Samio sign-in in your browser; the curriculum tools need no sign-in.

In the Gemini app: Settings → Connected apps → add a custom app with the same address. Details are on the developer page.

Listings in the Claude Connectors Directory and the ChatGPT plugin directory are being prepared, so that adding Samio becomes one click. Until they are live, the custom-connector route above is the way in.

Questions teachers ask

Is Samio MCP free?

The connector is free. The four curriculum and pricing tools work for anyone with no account and no key. The teacher tools, which plan and create inside your classes, need a Samio for Schools account connected with OAuth 2.1; there is no separate plan or add-on for that.

What data does the assistant see?

Without an account: only curriculum standards and pricing. With your teacher account: your name and e-mail, your class names and student counts, and what you ask it to create. No student name, score or result ever crosses the connector; the audit trail stores hashed inputs only; Samio's sub-processor list is unchanged.

Can it publish something to my class?

Not on its own. Challenges are saved as drafts and published only when you ask. Topic plans, lessons and materials appear in your dashboard like anything you create there. Nothing is ever deleted or overwritten through the connector.

Which assistants work with it?

Any assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol: Claude on claude.ai, in the desktop and mobile apps and in Cowork, Claude Code, ChatGPT through a custom connector in developer mode, Gemini CLI, and the Claude API for developers. Listings in the Claude Connectors Directory and the ChatGPT plugin directory are being prepared.

Do I need the paid plan?

The curriculum and pricing tools need nothing at all. The teacher tools need a Samio for Schools account, the same login as the dashboard. If your school does not use Samio for Schools yet, start the free 14-day trial; the curriculum tools are also a good way to see what the platform is built on before you sign up.

How do I disconnect?

In the Samio for Schools dashboard open Settings → Connected apps and revoke the assistant. The key it received stops working; your password was never shared with it. You can also remove the connector in the assistant's own settings.
